Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption.   The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton.   Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").

Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

Artist's Description

A heroic knight takes on the deadly beast that has been attacking the village! A giant snail! He's either protecting the woman, or being pushed forward into battle by her! Hear the dramatic music playing, as they battle to the death! Who will win? Will man or gastropod survive?? If anyone has ever had a garden, they can probably agree that snails do quite a lot of damage, and the battle is real! This is my own version of an actual illustration from a medieval manuscript, painted on my computer, using Corel Painter. The original illustration is so absurd, it made me laugh, and fueled the creation of my own version! There have been some theories as to perhaps the snails being symbols of an invading or tiresome people, but no one knows for sure. The woman in this image is holding a drop spindle and has a staff full of prepared flax for spinning. She will waste no time, not even in battle, as she continues to spin flax into linen thread!

About Christina Serra

Christina Serra

Christina was born into a Cuban-American family in Miami, Florida, but grew up in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina. She has been an active creative her entire life. The mysteries of the human condition, as they re-occur in our mythologies and histories, intrigue and move Christina to explore these and nature themes in her art. There is so much more to a story than just the story, so many details and ways to dig deeper into hidden meanings. Not only do deeper symbolic meanings of stories inspire Christina, but also oddities. Especially if it is something that is funny or beautiful.
